Swile Blog: From WordPress to High-Performance Next.js + Payload CMS

I led the full migration and redesign of the Swile blog — transitioning from WordPress to a custom setup with Payload CMS and Next.js 15. I created a new frontend focused on ultra-high performance, SEO, responsiveness, and accessibility, and implemented features such as breadcrumbs, tracking, variable worlds and automatic SEO metadata generation directly from the CMS.
On the CMS side, I handled a customized data migration, tailoring the structure to fit marketing team needs while ensuring content consistency. I also collaborated closely with the design team in Figma, co-building a more user-friendly, UX/UI-optimized interface. The result: a well-crafted, accessible platform that scaled smoothly and welcomed significant traffic from day one.
